IELTS

IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System. It is the world's most popular English language test. Over 4 million people take it each year to prove their English skills for study, work or migration.

IELTS has two versions - Academic and General Training. The Academic test is for people who want to study at a university. The General Training test is for those moving to an English-speaking country for work or migration.

Every student who appears for the IELTS exam has to tackle four sections - Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. Each section is scored on a 9-band scale. You need to take all 4 sections on the same day. The Speaking test may be scheduled on the same day or at least seven days before or after your exam date separately. The total duration of the exam is 2 hours and 45 minutes.

IELTS is accepted by over 12,500 organizations in more than 140 countries. Top universities, employers and immigration authorities trust IELTS scores. It can help you get into your dream school or land a great job. IELTS results are valid for 2 years.

You can choose to take IELTS on paper or computer. There are many test dates and locations available worldwide. Preparing well and practicing regularly are key to getting your target IELTS score.
